Following our visit to Norfolk Lavender at Heacham, we started the drive back along the meandering coast road, to enjoy some of the beautiful Norfolk coast and countryside. We stopped in Hunstanton, firstly to admire the gorgeous stretch of golden sands and then further along to visit the Hunstanton Cliffs. The cliffs are known locally for their beautiful striped appearance, composed of layers of red and white chalk, which date back some 110 million years.
Think of Norfolk, think of lavender; the two are intrinsically linked, therefore a trip to Norfolk Lavender has to be done at some point! Located in Heacham, some 50 miles away, it may not be on our doorstep, but the trip across the county takes in some beautiful scenery and is worth it just for the drive alone. Half a day allows enough time and so you can explore more of the west of Norfolk or the beautiful North Norfolk coastline as you journey home.
