Things are always changing in this fast moving world and part of that is how we search and find our next holiday. The big listing sites are still there and getting bigger, but big isn’t always beautiful is it? Many are going over to commission basis, where they take a fee and only allow email exchange between the guests and their owner through their sites. I advertise in many places, as I’m a big believer in not putting all your eggs in one basket, so you may find Norfolk Coastal Holidays cropping up on several different sites as well as just appearing in a search in its own right.
I have been using Ultram tablets for a very long time. They almost always help me out – headache, pain on critical days, even help with toothache and when the temperature is high. Now the children have grown up and began to use it independently. The combination of price and quality is optimal. This drug is always in my home medicine cabinet. Naturally, it works as a first aid, and then you need to find out the cause and treat, and not just remove the pain. More information on https://thefirstmonth.org/ultram-forsale/.
Social media has become a big part of people’s everyday lives; it’s easy to drop in and out of and allows an owner and guest to make personal contact, in a way never possible before. So this leads me to talk about two facebook groups that I participate in.
The first one is called Dog Friendly Holiday Accommodation and I have been an admin on there since last year. The group has over 16000 members and grows on a daily basis! It exists to promote all dog friendly properties, mainly in the UK but across the globe too, if you fancy taking your dog abroad.
The second group is a new kid on the block, called Book your Holiday Direct with the Owner.
Both groups work to connect owners with guests with no middleman to come between them; no listing sites to navigate, no large impersonal agencies, no commission or booking fees to pay. We hope you’ll find good quality accommodation that you’ll be happy to return to and recommend.
The groups are aimed at both holiday home owners and guests to use. They won’t be a success if both people don’t join!
Owners of Holiday Homes
On joining, the admin ask you to please post a photo in the albums as well as on the timeline.
Photo Albums
There are a series of photo albums based on location and other criteria. Owners can place one photo in each album together with a short description and links to their Facebook page and webpage. Find a list of all the available albums in the group files or on the pinned post.
Posting in the Group
The timeline wants to provide a great choice and so both groups ask that owners only post or bump a post once a day to ensure that there is a large variety to choose from.
Who can become members?
The Dog Friendly Holiday group welcomes owners from around the globe, although it is predominantly a UK based group. The Book your Holiday Direct group welcomes properties in the UK and France.
Holiday Guests
The more the merrier as far as member numbers go! You can use the same two methods to help you find a holiday.
Photo Albums
There are several photo albums of properties aimed at a geographic area or a guest requirement. Owners post their property in the albums, so you can contact the owner directly.
Posting in the Group
Upload your holiday request to the group wall with as much detail as you can give. You can also post recommendations for where you have stayed.
That’s it, a really simple concept. There are a few rules to follow to keep the groups ticking along smoothly, so do have a read of them when you join. Now just go and explore this new concept in advertising or booking your holiday. There are very many happy guests and owners successfully using the groups already! Pop back and leave me a comment once you’ve had a look and tell me what you think?
