In my previous blog, I mentioned eating at Norton’s cafe. Well whilst that was a very enjoyable experience there were more foodie delights to be discovered during our walk round Walsingham!

Walsingham Abbey and a gem of a village
On a beautiful weekend in February we took a trip to Walsingham Abbey to see the snowdrops. Open daily from February through October, we visited on a day when the entry proceeds were being donated to the Norfolk Hospice Tapping House. We had some wild winds the day before and they were still whistling through the trees as we stood beneath them, making some wild noises too. It was quite electric! We escaped the odd rain shower earlier in the morning, so our walk was in bright and beautiful sunshine. A new mascot!
Recently, I decided to purchase a mascot for our properties. He’s a King Charles Spaniel and he’s going to have some lovely adventures in Norfolk as well as here in the office. He may even go out with some of our guests and he’s got his own diary too! [Read more…]
Why Norfolk?
Born and raised in Herts, a leafy commuter belt county with a dad that worked in the big city, London. Holidays were always self catering in the UK; we ventured some years to places such as the Lake District, Scotland, Wales and overseas to……the Isle of Wight! Most years though, we went to Norfolk, and more specifically Bacton, in Norfolk. The first members of my family to visit were my grandparents, so we are now on generation number four and have clocked up well over 70 years of visits! [Read more…]
