We have a lot of guests who bring their dogs for a holiday too and they get a little welcome gift to enjoy. It helps a charity at the same time too! Every break booked, in all our properties, you will now find a welcome pack of homemade doggy biscuits.
Bought and made locally by Jan of Nero’s Kitchen, all profit goes to animal rescue charities. The main one is Elpida Shelter for dogs, a charity rescuing dogs in Greece but rehoming them around the world.
You can buy more whilst on holiday from us, as there is an honesty box outside her home in Lighthouse Lane, Happisburgh.
Our dog friendly welcome doesn’t usually end there though. The different cottages have various offerings but you may find:
a water bowl
spare dog poo bags
tennis balls
a ball launcher
dog towel/throw
Beachscape and Tides in Rainbows End Park, Bacton have decked terraces, surrounded by a 3 foot high balustrade with a lockable gate. Not high enough to keep a hardened escapologist in, but suitable for those dogs that just like watching the world go by! Venture beyond the gates and you must keep your dogs on a lead near the properties, but then there is the beach on our doorstep – miles and miles of sandy beaches that come and go with the tides. Doggie heaven. 😉
Cromer Flint Cottage in Cromer, has a secure courtyard garden, with fences that are nearly six foot high and a back gate that can be locked. The beach is just a two minute walk away.
Bramble Cottage in Happisburgh has an enclosed courtyard garden with a mixture of hedges, walls and fencing. Some of it is 3 foot high, so again not for the jumpers amongst your dogs, but great for sitting out in and enjoying some Norfolk sunshine, particularly in the lovely summerhouse. The coastline is a short walk across countryside or a short drive away you’ll find Cart Gap beach.
Contact us if you’d like to book a dog friendly break on the idyllic Norfolk coast for you and your dog.
