Blickling Hall our local National Trust property has plenty to choose from. How about History comes to life – meet the builders of Blickling to 1930s maids. Hear the gossip and find out what life was like in their time, on Wednesday 29th October. Cooking in the kitchen is on Thursday, 30 October or Sunday, 02 November where you will find ‘Kath’ and ‘Cook’ recreating the recipes of the 1930’s in the kitchen. Think of Norfolk, think of lavender; the two are intrinsically linked, therefore a trip to Norfolk Lavender has to be done at some point! Located in Heacham, some 50 miles away, it may not be on our doorstep, but the trip across the county takes in some beautiful scenery and is worth it just for the drive alone. Half a day allows enough time and so you can explore more of the west of Norfolk or the beautiful North Norfolk coastline as you journey home.
On a beautiful weekend in February we took a trip to Walsingham Abbey to see the snowdrops.
