There’s lots going on during half term in Norfolk with plenty of Halloween activities to enjoy.  Young or old, I’m sure you’ll find something to suit.

Pumpkins

Blickling Hall our local National Trust property has plenty to choose from. How about History comes to life  – meet the builders of Blickling to 1930s maids. Hear the gossip and find out what  life was like in their time, on Wednesday 29th October. Cooking in the kitchen is on Thursday, 30 October or Sunday, 02 November where you will find ‘Kath’ and ‘Cook’ recreating the recipes of the 1930’s in the kitchen. 1940s Weekend in Sheringham – all things vintage!

One weekend a year, in September, the seaside town of Sheringham, in conjunction with the nearby town of Holt, goes back several decades to the 1940s.

Centred around the North Norfolk Railway, The Poppy Line, the station provides a great backdrop for the comings and goings of people all dressed in vintage costumes and with steam trains and heritage buses running all weekend.

Seaside Special at Cromer Pier

The Pavilion Theatre at Cromer Pier is special in many ways, but unique in one. The Seaside Special is the last surviving end of the pier variety show in Europe. It may now be in its 38th year, but that doesn’t make it old fashioned.  A range of acts are chosen precisely so that if you choose to visit every year, you will always get to enjoy something different.
