Now I know a lot of you out there have a furry member or two in your family, so I’ve had a wander around and found some great dog friendly blogs or sites that I want to share with you.
A North Norfolk based one is called The Barking Bugle and its byline is the only online newspaper written for dogs by dogs! It’s got lots of tourist information, a page dedicated to local events called What’s On and you can even share a photo of your pooch on there. My only request is that if you do, share it with us first. 😉 We have a guest dog gallery just waiting for your photos to be added.
There’s a great write up about the latest “Be Dog Friendly Awards” given out by the Kennel Club, where an amazing three different Norfolk places won awards. Norfolk places won the best dog friendly cafe/restaurant, the best beach and the best pub, stretching from the North of Norfolk round to the east. You see, some of us know that Norfolk is the place to be with your dogs. 😉
Your Dog magazine has a blog attached to it, with some interesting news and articles. This one on the consequences of your dog chasing animals caught my eye.
I’m sure lots of you love attending shows, whether you just go to watch or participate. All About Dogs organise shows across the country with fun dog shows, buy accutane after effects arena displays, have a go events, shopping and more. Here’s details of the 2014 Norfolk event, the date for your diary of the 2015 Norfolk Show is Sunday 30th to Monday 31st August. Check our calendar for availability and book now if you fancy attending as part of your holiday activities!
There are lots of dog friendly listing sites if you’re looking for holiday accommodation. My favourites are Dog Friendly Britain, Pet Holiday Finder and The Good Dog Guide. One other worth a mention is Dog Friendly; sign up and receive a newsletter sent occasionally with lots of useful news. If you like venturing abroad to France, Spain, Portugal or Italy with your dog then have a look at Paws Abroad for plenty of choice.
There are lots more dog sites out there. Have you any to recommend or share? Please comment if so. 🙂 Just started in 2016 is UKdogfriendlycottages.
