Recently, I decided to purchase a mascot for our properties. He’s a King Charles Spaniel and he’s going to have some lovely adventures in Norfolk as well as here in the office. He may even go out with some of our guests and he’s got his own diary too!
This weekend he is on his way to Norfolk and weather permitting will get out and about a little!
Obviously every mascot needs a name and so via facebook and twitter I asked for suggestions. I had lots of options and found it really difficult to choose. Some guests chose names relating to the area and the beach, like Bacton, Samphire and Pebbles. Some came up with names that had coastal meanings such as Hurley (ocean tide), Dylan (son of the sea) and Elanora (aboriginal for seaside). I loved Nelson as Horatio Nelson was born in Burnham Thorpe in Norfolk.
The final name chosen though was Charlie or Charles if he gets up to mischief and needs a telling off! It was the most popular suggestion too.
I hope some of our guests take him out on some adventures; without taking him swimming perhaps – I’m not sure he can swim ;-), and will take some photos.
I’m expecting our younger guests to take a liking to him, but you never know, might the adults adopt him too?
